Whether we are lining up for a cross-country race or just out for a weekend singletrack ride, the Santa Cruz Blur is one of our favorite cross-country bikes for its extremely lightweight frame, cross-country-focused design, and new Superlight suspension platform. Santa Cruz’s Superlight suspension replaces their VPP suspension platform for a lighter weight and more efficient platform. Superlight specializes in turning every ounce of energy into forward momentum and features a higher ride height and a more linear progression curve for more efficiency where it counts. The Blur has an agile 68. 3-degree head tube angle, allowing it to steer precisely and still handle whatever the XC course throws at it. Size-specific seat tube angles and chainstays position us upright and over the pedals, ensuring an agile bike and an efficient pedaling position no matter our frame size. The GX Transmission AXS build of the Santa Cruz Blur is equipped with quality components and an electronic drivetrain at a more budget-friendly price point than the top-tier builds. This ride is equipped with Santa Cruz’s Carbon C frame, which for a super stiff and lightweight frame that was made to the same high standards as Santa Cruz’s Carbon CC frame, just at a slightly heavier weight. SRAM’s GX Eagle AXS Transmission drivetrain offers an advanced electronic drivetrain with precise shifting under load and a clutch in the derailleur that ensures it is perfectly positioned every time. A RockShox Sid SL Select+ fork is lightweight, adjustable, and has a remote to lock out the fork, allowing us to climb more efficiently, and a RockShox SidLuxe Select+ rear shock is ultra-efficient and has a remote-actuated lockout switch as well. RaceFace ARC Offset 27 rims paired with DT Swiss 370 hubs give us a race-worthy wheelset that will turn heads as we pass by. SRAM’s Level bronze stealth, 2-piston brakes give us all the stopping power we need without the added weight, and Maxxis Aspen tires are fast-rolling and lightweight without sacrificing the grip we need.*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
