Description
From weekend shred sessions to low-key days at the bike park, we love the Santa Cruz Bronson for its aggressive geometry, mixed-wheel setup, and efficient yet plush suspension platform. With 150 millimeters of VPP suspension, the Bronson is at home descending technical trails and is still nimble enough to make climbing back up not a chore. A 64. 7-degree headtube angle gives us an extra-long wheelbase and sticks our front wheel out in front of us for confidence and stability on the descents. A size-specific seat tube angle, sitting at around 77 degrees, puts us in the perfect position over the pedals and sitting upright, allowing us to be efficient when climbing. Size-specific chainstay lengths mean every rider on a Bronson can have the same agile and playful rear end, no matter our size frame. The Bronson’s mixed wheel setup gives us the best of both worlds, allowing our 29-inch front tire to plow through rock gardens and over technical terrain, while the 27. 5-inch rear tire allows the rear end to maneuver quicker and turn sharper. Santa Cruz made several changes to their frames this year, including a Glovebox frame storage for easy access to our riding essentials and a Sag Window for making sag reading and setup easier. The Bronson includes an integrated chainstay and downtube protector to protect our bike from rock strikes and chain slaps. A shuttle guard allows us to throw our bike over the back of our tailgate without worrying about scratching our frame, and a flip chip allows us to adjust our geometry when we feel like getting rowdy, making the bike slacker, longer, and lower. The X0 Eagle Transmission Reserve build of the Santa Cruz Bronson combines top-tier components and Santa Cruz’s premium carbon frame to give us an irresistible build. Santa Cruz’s Carbon CC frame utilizes the best carbon fiber for the stiffest and lightest frame possible. SRAM’s X0 Transmission AXS drivetrain gives us the latest technology in the electronic drivetrain market, providing flawless shifting even under load, an auto-adjusting clutch in the derailleur that aligns it back in the proper position should it get misaligned after a crash, and a nearly bombproof design. Reserve 30 HD carbon rims are lightweight and super durable and are paired with Industry Nine’s 1/1 hubs for a premium wheelset capable of dropping jaws. Endruo-focused Maxxis DHF and DHRII tires give us confidence slashing through corners and dropping technical descents by throwing down tons of grip. Finally, RockShox’s Ultimate line supplies top-tier suspension performance to the Bronson, giving us tons of compression and rebound adjustments and making for an ultra-plush ride.*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
