Description
From enduro days with huge elevation gains and descents to casual trail rides, the Bronson’s mid-travel design, efficient suspension platform, and mixed-wheel setup make it a blast to ride on any trail. With 150 millimeters of VPP suspension, the Bronson is at home descending technical trails and is perfectly capable of making climbing back up a breeze. A 64. 7-degree headtube angle and long wheelbase sticks our front wheel out in front of us for confidence and stability on steep descents. A size-specific seat tube angle, sitting at around 77 degrees, puts us in an efficient pedaling position, allowing us to conquer steep and technical climbs easier. Size-specific chainstay lengths mean every rider on a Bronson can have the same agile rear end and balanced platform, no matter our size frame. The Bronson’s mixed-wheel setup gives us the best of both worlds, with the 29-inch front tire handling the rollover capability and the 27. 5-inch rear tire enhancing the turn radius and agility. Other notable features of the Bronson’s frame include a Glovebox frame storage for easy access to our riding essentials and a Sag Window for making sag reading and setup easier. The Bronson includes an integrated chainstay and downtube protector to protect our bike from rock strikes and chain slaps, and a shuttle guard allows us to throw our bike over the back of our tailgate and shuttle to the trailhead worry-free. When the day calls for getting a bit rowdy, we turn to the flip chip in the rear shock link that allows us to adjust our geometry, making the bike slacker, longer, and lower to give us extra confidence on steeper and more technical trails. The GX Eagle Transmission Reserve build of the Santa Cruz Bronson is equipped with quality components and an electronic drivetrain at a more budget-friendly price point than the top-tier builds. Santa Cruz’s Carbon C frame utilizes quality carbon fiber to give us a stiff and lightweight frame, and the Carbon C version is built to the same standards as the premium Carbon CC frame for reliability. SRAM’s GX Transmission AXS drivetrain gives us the latest technology in the electronic drivetrain market, providing flawless shifting even under load, an auto-adjusting clutch in the derailleur that aligns it back in the proper position should it get misaligned after a crash, and a nearly bombproof design. Reserve 30 HD rims and Industry Nine 1/1 hubs take this build sky high and give us a race-worthy wheelset that is lightweight, has high engagement, and has a durable construction. Maxxis DHF and DHRII tires provide confidence in ripping through corners and dropping technical descents by throwing down tons of grip. Finally, RockShox’s Select+ line gives us quality suspension performance at an obtainable price point, with the Super Deluxe Select+ rear shock soaking up trail chatter and keeping us gripped to the ground and a Lyrik Select+, 160mm fork making quick work of big hits.*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
