Description
The Callaway Great Big Bertha Fairway Woods feature a titanium face and body. Typically reserved for drivers, titanium provides a significant weight and strength advantage compared to traditional steel fairway woods. Combined with Callaway’s Triaxial Carbon crown and Forged Carbon sole, this unique construction results in 53% of the total head weight being discretionary. Callaway utilized this opportunity to shift weight and create a larger, massively forgiving footprint that steel does not permit and an ultra-low center of gravity which produces a more effortless, higher launch. Callaway’s legendary Jailbreak with Batwing Technology stabilizes the body of the Great Big Bertha at impact, allowing the A.I. Designed Titanium Face Cup to be thinner and more flexible across a larger area. Consequently, the GBB produces blistering ball speed across the entire face. In keeping with the lightweight properties of the Bertha, Callaway powers the fairway with UST’s Helium Nanocore Black graphite shaft. The shaft’s Nanocore Technology reduces overall weight while also adding stiffness for maximum mobility. The Helium Nanocore also utilizes a counter balanced design, which reduces heft, thus helping gain more club head speed with the same effort. Callaway Great Big Bertha Fairway Woods Feature: Titanium face & body provide significant weight and strength advantages compared to steel, allowing Callaway to create a larger, more forgiving footprint and an ultra-low CG A.I. Designed Titanium Cup Face is uniquely optimized for each fairway wood using A.I. for maximum ball speed and spin consistency Jailbreak with Batwing Technology pushes stiffness to the perimeter while still allowing the face to flex for high ball speeds across the face Triaxial Carbon crown and Forged Carbon sole create discretionary weight savings that are utilized to put 50g of tungsten weight internally and a 15g steel sole plate for an easier, higher launch Adjustable hosel allows you to dial in
