Description
The Callaway Great Big Bertha Irons feature a titanium face and body. Typically reserved for drivers, titanium saves up to 96 grams of discretionary weight, which was repositioned via a new Tungsten Speed Cartridge, and the results were stunning. GBB Irons boast the deepest center of gravity Callaway has ever achieved in an iron, leading to massively increased launch conditions and forgiveness. Titanium’s tremendous lightweight and high strength properties lend themselves perfectly to making the irons a distance monster as well. The Bertha features the thinnest and lightest face in Callaway iron history. The Commercially Pure Grade 4 Titanium body flexes more at impact than traditional steel and works harmoniously with the extremely thin face to transfer more energy to the ball. In essence, Callaway has imbued the Great Big Bertha with driver-like distance characteristics and performance. In keeping with the lightweight properties of the Bertha, Callaway powers the irons with equally light shaft offerings from Nippon in steel and UST in graphite.
