The Fishing Specialties Scanning Sonar Transducer Mounting System for Kayaks is a forward-looking scanning sonar transducer mounting system that’s suitable for mounting a transducer (not included) onto most Kayaks with a T-nut rail. Transducer mounting plate is secured to the boat’s rail using a 4″ by 4″ sub plate, and the system’s 8″-long marine board plastic baseplate holds the downrod. The transducer assembly is secured to that mounting plate with 2 nylon thumbscrews (12 included). These screws help to take the baseplate off the kayak as well as a strain relief in case the downrod were to hit an underwater obstacle. The 24″-long downrod comes equipped with a post end to secure OEM forward looking sonar shaft mount brackets. Electronic cables run through the center of the downrod for their protection, safety, and ease of cable management. The kayak transducer mount system features a 12″ handle that easily adjusts the direction the transducer is facing. All necessary hardware and mounting parts included.
