Featuring a lightweight aluminum shaft and a hot-forged steel pick and adze, the G1 Ice Axe is ready for demanding mountain adventures. The included leash keeps the ice axe connected to our wrist for safety, and the steel spike digs in deep for a dependable hold on frozen ground. This ice axe has a type 1 or B-rated shaft and head for non-technical mountain pursuits.
