With both personal and industry-popular improvements, the Ibis Ripmo is back to reclaim its spot as one of the best all-around mid-travel bikes. Now sporting 150mm of DW-Link suspension and a slacker head tube angle, the new Ripmo is a more capable bike all over the mountain. Ibis made multiple improvements to geometry, giving us chainstays, seat tube angles, and bottom bracket heights specific to the frame size, offering a much better fit for every sized rider. In addition to the new geometry, the Ripmo now comes in five sizes and a broader range of fitment compatibility. Taking notes from the HD6, the Ripmo deploys mixed-wheel compatibility for a more agile ride and throws in size-specific wheel sizes, making the smallest two sizes mixed-wheel and the largest three dual 29ers. No matter what wheel size we prefer, we can run either, thanks to the flip chip on the rear shock link. One of Ibis’s final surprises comes in the form of their new internal frame storage system, featuring a unique lever handle and special edition Ibis x Cotopaxi storage bags. The Ripmo’s finishing touches include a new threaded bottom bracket for durability, as well as chainstay and downtube protectors, a shuttle guard, and silent internal cable routing. The Deore build is the baseline build level but has excellent value and component spec. Every Ripmo build is fitted with the same premium carbon frame, giving us optimal stiffness, durability, and precise handling. Shimano’s Deore 12-speed drivetrain has a proven track record for precise shifting, giving us a huge gear range for any climb. Deore 4-piston brakes have tons of stopping power on tap, and in conjunction with premium Maxxis tires, we have the confidence we need for more aggressive riding. The Deore build has a Marzocchi Bomber Z1, 160mm fork, and a Fox Float X Factory rear shock for a lightweight and capable package.*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, ma…
