First, innovative Free Hosel Technology removes weight from a section of the hosel, creating discretionary mass that’s strategically redistributed lower in the head. By aligning closer to the force line in the head, the newly enhanced center of gravity, the deepest of any PING driver to date, generates increased ball speed and optimizes launch and spin, producing consistently longer and straighter drives. The second speed-boosting component of the formula required a modest update to the driver’s shape. A lower face height allows a much more expansive area of the face to be thinner and hotter without jeopardizing its structural integrity, resulting in routinely higher ball speed, regardless of where impact occurs.
