Quick and tiny, the Platypus QuickDraw Microfilter System is our go-to for self-supported ultraruns and ultralight backpacking missions. This compact system rolls up to fit in a hip belt pocket and quickly unfurls when we come upon a water source. The reservoir’s wide mouth lets water pour in to fill in seconds, and once the filter is threaded onto the reservoir, we can sip straight from the clean side or squeeze the filtered water directly into our bottle.
