Pro-Head Golf Training Aid The Pro-Head Trainer is a patented, full swing training aid that immediately helps the golfer feel the effect of maintaining the spine angle and keeping the head behind the ball through impact. Pro-Head helps the golfer to develop the muscle or motor memory needed to transfer that feeling into a consistent and repeatable swing. MAINTAIN YOUR SPINE ANGLE…and KEEP YOUR HEAD BACK WITH THE PRO-HEADÆ TRAINER The standard PRO-HEADÆ Trainer is a full swing training aid that immediately helps the golfer feel the effect of maintaining the spine angle and keeping the head behind the ball through impact. PRO-HEADÆ helps the golfer to develop the muscle memory needed to transfer that feeling into a consistent and repeatable swing. The standard model is a free standing unit with a molded acrylic base that could be filled with water or sand for additional rigidity if needed. It has two wheels so that it can easily be moved. The metal pole comes in 3 pieces that are quickly assembled to make an upright 78 inch high pole. It uses the same arm and hat assemblies as the Original/Deluxe model of the PRO-HEADÆ Trainer. The entire unit can be assembled and ready for swing improvement in less than 10 minutes. The Standard model can be used indoors or outdoors. For indoor use, sufficient space is required for the golfer to take a full swing with a driver. If plastic or real balls are to be used, a net is needed to catch the balls. See the Our Products Page for these optional accessories available through Forever Better Golf Inc. Here are two questions for you to answer about your golf swing . Your answers will give you some valuable information as to why you may or may not be a consistent and low handicap golfer. 1. Do you keep your head back and behind the ball long enough to see the ball and/or the path of the club head at and through impact? 2. Are you able to maintain your spine angle until well after you strike the ball? If you answered YES to both questions, you are probably a low handicap golfer. If you answered NO to either or both questions, you probably say to yourself, after a poor shot, words like: I came right up before I hit the ball! I didn’t keep my head down! I came right out of the shot! These swing errors are caused by not staying back and behind the ball at and through impact or by not maintaining your spine angle. The PRO-HEADÆ Trainer was invented and designed to help correct these two common errors in most golf swings. The very first time you use the PRO-HEADÆ Trainer you will get the feel of keeping your head down and behind the ball through impact. You will maintain your spine angle and get the feel of a full shoulder turn and follow through, just like the pros. You will see the ball and the path of the club head at and through impact. Jake Zastko, PGA Professional and former NJ State Champion had this to say about PRO-HEAD: Jake Zastko “Over many years of instructing golfers at all levels of ability, the most serious error I observed is the golfer’s inability to keep their head steady and behind the ball through impact. It is natural to want to look up to see where the shot is going. To give the golfer actual feedback about head movement, I would place the grip end of a club onto the golfer’s head and have the golfer take several swings. The PRO-HEAD trainer offers this same feedback but only better. PRO-HEAD will help all golfers to keep their heads steady and not come off the ball prior to impact. This is one of the essential reasons for using this training aid.” PRO-HEADÆ Trainer The 60 Second Challenge To get the “feel” of seeing the golf ball at impact, of keeping your head down and behind the ball through the impact zone, of maintaining your spine angle and having a full follow through, try this 60 second challenge. If outdoors, place a tee in the ground. If indoors, in your living room or garage, make certain the ceiling is high enough to allow for a full swing. Place a coin on the floor. With your five iron, hybrid or metal wood in your usual grip, take your normal stance and address the tee or coin as if a ball were on it. Now ask a buddy (or your spouse) to reach out and grab you by your hair or hold firmly onto your head or golf hat, so there will be no movement to your head, as you take a slow but full practice swing. Make a complete follow through while your head is still being held firmly. There should be little of no movement of your head until after your arms are fully extended and are well past the tee or coin. At that point your helper can allow your head to come up, as it is pushed by your right shoulder (if right handed). But your head should still remain behind the ball. A. If you were able to watch the path of the clubhead as it moved over the tee or coinÖÖand you were able to maintain your spine angle throughout your swingÖÖ.and you were able to keep your head back and behind the tee or coin through the impact zone, such that you had a new or different and better “feel” in your swing, thenÖ. The PRO-HEAD Trainer will definitely help you improve your swing and lower your handicap. B. If nothing at all felt different to you, you probably are already a low handicap golfer. The PRO-HEAD Trainer may not be for you. There are times however, when even the accomplished golfer, falls into a slump and no “fix” seems to work. There is a good chance that you are coming out of your swing, and maybe just slightly. The PRO-HEAD Trainer will help you get back in the groove. C. If you failed any of the tests mentioned in A. above, you may not yet have gained a consistent swing of any kind. You may not be ready for the PRO-HEAD Trainer. The PRO-HEAD Trainer is for serious golfers who are serious about improving their swings and lowering their handicaps. Testimonials “Over my many years of instructing golfers at all levels of ability, the most serious error I observed is the golfer’s inability to keep her or his head behind the ball through the impact zone. It is a natural tendency to want to look up to see where the shot is going. To help correct this error and to give the golfer actual feedback about head movement, I would place the grip end of a club onto the golfer’s head and have the golfer take several swings. The PRO-HEAD Trainer offers this same feedback but only better. The PRO-HEAD Trainer will help all golfers to keep their heads steady and not come off the ball prior to impact. This is one of the essential reasons for using this training aid. I fully endorse the PRO-HEAD Trainer as a full swing training aid.” Jake Zastko, PGA Professional, former NJ State Professional Champion “The first time I took a swing with the PRO-HEADÆ trainer, I got an altogether new feeling in my follow through. I felt like my body continued to turn throughout the swing and into my follow through. My shoulders made a full turn and my stomach was facing the target as it should be. Wow! Now I know I have some muscle memory to develop.” Juan Remos, Lakewood, NJ “I felt as though I was not finishing my shots. After donning the cap of the PRO-HEAD Trainer and hitting a few irons, I confirmed my thinking. PRO-HEAD gave me the feedback that I was not staying back and behind the ball long enough to hit through the ball. For the first time in a while, I regained my full follow through. Thank you PRO-HEAD.” Fran Steuke, Bridgeport, NJ “I am a proud owner of a wall-mount model PRO-HEAD Trainer which is installed in my garage. I got the trainer so that I could keep my swing in tact over the dreary winter months here in Cincinnati. “I then unexpectedly decided on arthoscopic surgery on my left knee in December, and thought my hopes for early Spring golf were unrealistic. Three weeks after surgery, and several rehab therapy visits later, the doctor said I could begin to swing a club. I began to use the PRO-HEAD Trainer extensively over the next few weeks to try to get my swing back in the groove. “I am an 18 handicapper, and usually the first time out in the new season I am happy to break 100. I recently took a weekend holiday in Florida just to get out of the snow here in Ohio, and got to play my first round in about 3 months. I played a course new to me which usually adds a few more strokes to my score. Was I happy when I parred the 410 yard 18th hole to give me an 89!! I have to think that my post-operative routine on the PRO-HEAD Trainer was a significant factor in my solid performance on this pre-season round! Thank you Forever Better Golf!”!! Anonymous in OH “I really like swinging under the PRO-HEAD Trainer cap. It allows for proper head rotation throughout the swing…. from takeaway, to backswing, to downswing, through the impact area and follow through.” Jay Warrick, Jupiter, FL Construction Details The base is 31″ long x 21″ wide x 8″ high and is made of sturdy molded ABS for years of use.
