Description
Whether it’s long days with thousands of feet of elevation gain and loss or multiple laps at the bike park, the Ibis Ripmo AF is a solid choice, and we are always stoked to throw a leg over one for its efficient suspension platform, sturdy aluminum frame, and dual 29-inch wheels. When we are looking to take our enduro riding to the next level but can’t afford to spend an arm and a leg on a new ride, the Ibis Ripmo AF comes in clutch as an affordable, all-metal version of the beloved Ibis Ripmo. This year, the Ripmo AF is back and features the same aluminum frame and aggressive geometry we love, but is now available in two new colors and a frame equipped with an SRAM UDH universal derailleur hanger for easy replacements. Designed for aggressive trail or enduro riding, the Ripmo features 147mm of DW-Link suspension to plow through rough sections and easily take small drops and jumps. A 64. 9-degree head tube angle keeps us stable and under control on steep descents, and a 77-degree seat tube angle positions us upright and over the pedals for an efficient pedaling position. Short 435mm chainstays give us an agile bike, while the long reach gives us confidence when heading down the steepest trails. Additional features on the Ripmo AF include integrated downtube and chainstay protectors, a single water bottle mount inside the front triangle, and a revised swingarm with a wider 55mm chain line for enhanced stiffness. The Ibis Ripmo AF SLX build features great value and quality components. First up, Ibis’s aluminum frame is super durable and now features a universal hanger for easy replacements in the future. The 12-speed Shimano SLX drivetrain gives us a huge 10-51t gear range, while the Ibis Blackbird Send 29er wheelset gives us lightweight, durable performance and keeps us rolling smoothly. Marzocchi Bomber suspension gives us quality performance while keeping the price down, with a Bomber Z1 Coil fork up front sporting 160mm of travel to give us great ride tunability and bottom-out support on the rowdiest of trails. A Marzocchi Bomber Air rear shock keeps our rear wheel kissing the ground for traction and gives us adjustments to tune our suspension to our riding style. Finally, thanks to a super-low standover height, Ibis equipped this build of the Ripmo AF with longer Bike Yoke Revive dropper posts for enhanced clearance on the way down. *Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
