Description
From racing to singletrack cruising, the Santa Cruz Blur is among Herd’s favorite cross-country bikes. With an extremely lightweight frame, racing-focused design and geometry, and Santa Cruz’s Superlight suspension platform, the Blur takes our performance on the trails to the next level, no matter if we are racing other riders or just our shadow. Santa Cruz’s Superlight suspension specializes in turning every ounce of energy into forward momentum and features a higher ride height and a more linear progression curve than VPP, all equating to a faster bike when it counts. The Blur has an agile 68. 3-degree head tube angle, allowing it to steer precisely and handle whatever the XC course throws at it, while size-specific seat tube angles and chainstays position us over the pedals for an efficient pedaling position no matter our frame size. Integrated downtube and chainstay protectors keep our frame looking new, and the two water bottle mounts inside the frame and one on the outside allow us to take along three water bottles to stay hydrated. The S build of the Santa Cruz Blur equips this ride with quality and reliable components without the premium price tag. First, Santa Cruz’s Carbon C frame is made to the same high standards as their ritzier Carbon CC frame, just at a slightly heavier weight. SRAM’s GX Eagle drivetrain equips us with a reliable 12-speed drivetrain with a huge gear range, giving us perfect gearing for any trail scenario. A RockShox Sid SL Select+ fork is lightweight, adjustable, and has a 3-position remote to lock out the fork, allowing us to climb more efficiently. A RockShox SidLuxe Select+ rear shock is ultra-efficient and has a remote-actuated lockout switch as well. RaceFace AR Offset 27 rims paired with DT Swiss 370 hubs give us a race-worthy, and SRAM Level TL, 2-piston brakes give us all the stopping power we need in a lightweight package.*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, ma…
