Description
When a traditional cross-country bike just isn’t going to cut it, we opt for the Santa Cruz Blur. With the frame of a Cross-country race bike and components of a light-duty trail bike, the Blur Trail blurs the lines between a cross-country bike and a trail bike. With a chassis more capable than the XC Blur and nearly as light, the Blur Trail is a prime choice for XC riders looking for a more capable ride. Santa Cruz’s new Superlight suspension platform was specifically designed for the Blur, making it more energy-efficient and reducing overall weight from their previous VPP suspension platform. With a more linear leverage curve and lower anti-squat values, Superlight gives us a suspension platform that climbs and descends more efficiently and reduces the number of moving parts for a lighter-weight, more reliable suspension platform that gives us back every ounce of energy we put into it. 115mm of Superlight suspension boosts the Blur Trail’s capability, adding 15mm more travel for taming more aggressive trails. With a 67. 1-degree head tube angle, we are in a much better position to point the wheels downhill and over chunky terrain than any other XC bike. Size-specific chainstays and seat tube angles give every sized rider an efficient pedaling position and a perfectly balanced, poppy ride. Integrated downtube and chainstay protectors keep our bike safe from chain slaps and rock strikes, and internal cable routing makes for a silent and clean ride. The R build of the Santa Cruz Blur Trail is entry-level and is stocked with components that offer incredible value. SRAM’s NX Eagle drivetrain provides reliable, precise shifting and a huge gear range. A Fox Float Performance rear shock gives us excellent small bump sensitivity and offers multiple adjustments so we can tune the shock to our riding style. A RockShox SID RL with 120mm of travel maintains traction with the dirt and is loaded with adjustments to ensure the fork meets our riding style. RaceFace AR Offset 27…
