Description
Sporting direct-drive efficiency, a lively ride, and capable geometry, the Santa Cruz Highball is a popular cross-country hardtail for everything from cruising to racing. The Highball deploys 29-inch wheels, short chainstays, and a slack 67-degree headtube angle for performance and precision on various trails. Vertically compliant seat stays help to eliminate vibrations from trail chatter and give us a softer feel and more confidence and efficiency in rougher terrain. A smaller diameter seat tube and seat post further help reduce feedback to the rider, and the highball is compatible with dropper posts if we want to upgrade in the future. The finishing features include SRAM’s UDH, three water bottle mounts in the front triangle, tunneled internal cable routing, and downtube and chainstay protectors. The GX Eagle Transmission build of the Santa Cruz Highball First up, Santa Cruz’s Carbon C frame gives us a reliable and lightweight frame built to the same standards as their more premium Carbon CC frame to ensure optimal strength and a lightweight design. Next, SRAM’s GX Eagle Transmission AXS drivetrain gives us flawless electronic shifting and a huge 10-52-tooth, 12-speed gear range that will allow us to boost up technical climbs with ease. A RockShox Sid SL Select+, 100mm fork handles all the suspension duties on the Highball and features a remote lockout so we can stiffen up our fork when climbing for efficiency. RaceFace ARC Offset 27 aluminum rims and DT Swiss 370 hubs pair together to bring us dependable performance all over the trails. Lastly, Maxxis Rekon Race tires offer a low weight, low rolling resistance, and high grip and traction.*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change.
