Description
From finessing through black diamond tech trails to effortlessly cruising the flow trails, the Pivot Switchblade is one of our favorite bikes due to its ability to be perfectly suited to handle almost any trail. With 142mm of DW-Link suspension travel, the Switchblade hits that sweet spot between an enduro bike and an aggressive trail bike. Dual 29-inch wheels and a lightweight carbon frame make for a bike that is exceptionally capable and has modest geometry that lands in that golden zone between too slack and too steep, allowing us to maintain snappy and agile handling on flatter terrain while having the confidence to find our selves in faster, steeper terrain. Efficient climbing characteristics and a steep, 76-degree seat tube angle mean we rocket up technical climbs efficiently, saving more energy for the downhill. Additional features on the Switchblade include a flip chip that allows us to slacken out the head tube angle and drop the bottom bracket height for extra control on steep terrain and fast speeds. Integrated downtube and chainstay protectors protect our frame from rocks and chain slaps, while the front triangle accommodates two water bottle cages to keep us hydrated. The Pro X0 transmission build of the Pivot Switchblade features quality components and an electronic drivetrain for high performance on the trails. First, Pivot’s lightweight carbon fiber frame is made with premium materials to give us the highest quality, lightest weight frame possible. Next, the Fox Factory Float X gives us tons of traction and shock absorption in the rear and features multiple adjustments so we can tune our ride quality. The Fox Factory Float 36, 160mm fork, is exceptionally tunable, easily handles big hits, and has a strong reputation. DT Swiss XM1700 rims give us quality performance for an aluminum rim, and DT Swiss 350 hubs supply us with an upgradeable hub. To wrap it all together, the Switchblade is fitted with Maxxis DHF and DHRII tires to give us the traction and grip we need for aggressive riding. *Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
